Seated portrait of Hugh Boulter (1672-1742), probably painted when he was Bishop of Bristol (1719-24), before his appointment as Church of Ireland Archbishop of Armagh, the Primate of All Ireland, a post he held from 1724 until his death. In that role he supported anti-Catholic measures, succeeding in depriving them of the right of voting at elections for members of parliament or magistrates, their sole remaining constitutional right. Beard was a Dublin mezzotinter. CS 1, state i of ii, of which he notes that there is one known example.

It was through his drawings, engraved to illustrate nearly 400 books, that Eisen's reputation was chiefly established. These included editions of Lucretius, Ovid, Tacitus, Virgil, Boccaccio, Ariosto, Erasmus and La Fontaine.

On the reverse is a German-text biography relating to another portrait, within an ornate woodcut frame. Antoine de Bourbon-Bueil (1607-1632), Count of Moret, was the legitimised son of the French King Henry IV (1553-1610) and his mistress Jacqueline de Bueil (1558-1651). He conspired with Gaston d'Orleans against the policy for the establishment of a strong Royal Government, and took part in the rebellion led by himself and the Duke of Montmorency against King Louis XIII, which led to the Battle of Castelnaudary. He was wounded during the battle, but his body was never found, and legend had it that he survived and carried on the life of a hermit in Anjou.

In his political career, which lasted until 1830, he favoured harsh punishments for those who had occupied prominent positions during the Hundred Days under Napoleon in 1815, further reducing the number of citizens entitled to vote, and fought against laws on personal freedoms and the press.

She took part in the Battle of the Saintes and collided with Bourgogne (1767).

The Stationary Winding Engine House hauled trains up from Euston to Camden Bank by means of an endless rope. The buildings were designed by Robert Stephenson. The building of the London-Birmingham Railway devastated Camden (Charles Dickens described the work as like 'the shock of a great earthquake' in 'Dombey & Son). The machinery installed here was only used from 1837 to 1844, but the vaulted buildings being built are now Grade II*, as a rare surviro of such structures. In 1835 Sir George William Tapps-Gervis hired the young local architect Benjamin Ferrey to develop his land, building Bournemouth's first hotel, later to become part of the Royal Bath Hotel, which opened in 1838 and is one of the few buildings designed by Ferrey still standing.

In 1850 the Medical Committee of the Royal Brompton Hospital decided to build a small sanatorium in Bournemouth, to be financially independent, to "receive those cases where convalescence has been established''. It was specially built in 1855, to designed by the architect E.B. Lamb and opened its doors as the Royal National Sanatorium for Disease on October 2, 1855.
