The Battle of Tory Island, (or Warren's Action, after the British leader, Sir John Borlase Warren), fought off the north-west coast of Ireland on the 12th October 1798 between the British and French. Part of the French Revolutionary Wars, it was also the last action of the Irish Rebellion of 1798 and the last French attempt to invade the British Isles.
