[n.d., c.1825.] Rare lithograph. Sheet 325 x 385mm (12¾x 15"). Trimmed to image. Napoleon at the tiller of a boat taking him and his family from Corsica to mainland France. Although originally a Corsican nationalist, Napoleon was such a supporter of the French Revolution that he left the island in June 1793 when Corsica declared formal secession from France, establishing the Anglo-Corsican Kingdom which lasted until 1796.
