A view of the Palladian south front of Wilton House, a Grand I listed building near Salisbury. It was published as one of a set of six views of country seats by Luke Sullivan (1705-71). Other editions were published with Thomas Bowles and Robert Wilkinson as the first name in the list of publishers.

Scarce lithograph with hand colour, prepared as a transformation print, mounted on card with title underneath. Card 280 x 220mm (11 x 8¾"). Tissue over rear torn, album paper pasted on one edge.
A view of Windsor Castle changes when the card is held up to the light, with Victoria and Albert appearing on horseback.

Three-quarter length portrait of politician Philip Yorke, 1st Earl of Hardwicke (1690-1764), with right hand outstretched and papers in his left, wearing judge's robes and long curled wig with chair and purse behind him. Yorke was an English lawyer and politician who served as Lord High Chancellor of Great Britain (1737-1756).
