The Market occupied barely more than a niche in the basement of the Tunn Inn, widened by a flattened roof to the extent of the footway, which was supported by some wooden columns. This roof formed an advantageous balcony to the Inn. In 1818 the Inn was demolished and an archway built. The Corn Exchange occupied the space under the arch with a courtroom for annual assizes at the rear.

The Birmingham Gun Barrel Proof House was established in 1813 by an act of Parliament at the request, and expense, of the then prosperous Birmingham Gun Trade. Its remit was to provide a testing and certification service for firearms; such testing prior to sale was made mandatory under the Gun Barrel Proof Act of 1868. The Jacobean-style building was designed by John Horton.

A view of Kendricks, Hambleden. Later additions, include ball finials aligned with the giant pilasters, this was done in 1724 as the rectory for the Reverend Scawen Kendrick. Prior to this the property belonged to Philadelphia Carey Lady Scrope, a cousing and Lady-In-Waiting to Queen Elizabeth I. It ceased to be a rectory in 1938 and was acquired by the 3rd Viscount Hambleden and renamed Kendricks.

From about 1829 Constable and Lucas worked together on a series of mezzotints after sketches and paintings by Constable called 'Various Subjects of Landscape...' published in parts between 1830 and 1832. In 1843 Charles Robert Leslie published his 'Memoirs of John Constable Esq. R.A'. He obtained directly from the Constable family 186 sets of 22 images of the Various Subjects of Landscape in return for 30 copies of his book. This mezzotint is one of those; "see Tate John Constable, David Lucas".

Garden plan from Henry Hulsberg's "Vitruvius Britannicus" series by C. Campbell. George London and Henry Wise were sole partners at the celebrated Brompton Park Nursery from 1689 until London's death in 1714. They enjoyed a near monopoly on large-scale landscape design, also supplying thousands of trees to landowners for avenue planting. London and Wise specialised in an English version of the formal Baroque gardens associated with the Catholic courts of continental Europe, of which Versailles was the pre-eminent example. The gardens at Hampton Court Palace, Herefordshire. Hampton Court Castle sits close to the River Lugg and the village of Hope-Under-Dinmore near Leominster. The Arkwright Family lived here for many years and William of Orange is said to have stayed.

'The Hartlepools Steam Tramways' opened in 1884, running from Northgate in Hartlepool to Church Road in West Hartlepool. The company folded in 1891, after which the assets were purchased by 'Hartlepool Electric Tramways', who electrified the system and reopened in 1896, lasting until 1927.

John Augustus Atkinson (1775-1830) was a British etcher, painter, draughtsman and printmaker. He spent 1784-1801 in Russia with James Walker who is thought to be his uncle. After returning to London in 1801, he made prints after his works, of Russian subjects, and made outline etchings for other artists. He also executed paintings on military subjects and battles.
