Double portrait of Napoleon, after a drawing by Anne-Louis Girodet (1767-1824), who was closely associated with the emperor. He was commissioned to paint an allegory based on James Macpherson's Ossianic legends for Napoleon's country retreat at Malmaison, while Vivant Denon commissioned him to paint Napoleon receiving the keys to Vienna and the Revolt at Cairo (both now in Versailles). In 1812 he was commissioned to paint 36 portraits of Napoleon in his Coronation Robes for the Imperial Courts and had completed 26 by 1814, but the following year Napoleons abdicated for the final time and Girodet came into a considerable inheritance. Thereafter his output decreased.

Portrait of Hyder Ali (c.1720 - 1782), the Sultan and de facto ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore in southern India. Born as Hyder Ali, he distinguished himself as a soldier, eventually drawing the attention of Mysore's rulers. During intermittent conflicts against the East India Company during the First and Second Anglo–Mysore Wars, Hyder Ali was the military leader. He is seated, showing his left profile, his left arm stretch out in front of him.

A self portrait of Wenceslaus Hollar (1607–77) was a prolific and accomplished Bohemian graphic artist of the 17th century, who spent much of his life in England. He is particularly noted for his engravings and etchings. He was born in Prague, died in London, and was buried at St Margaret's Church, Westminster.

He was the fifth and the youngest son of Ranoji Rao Scindia, the founder of the Scindia dynasty. He is reputed for having restored the Maratha rule over North India and for modernizing his army.

A nearly three-quarter portrait of Miguel de Molinos (1628-96), a Spanish Catholic mystic and figurehead of religious movement known as Quietism, which was condemned as heretical by Pope Innocent XI in 1687. Molinos spent the last nine years of his life in prison. A reversed copy of the portrait engraved and published by Johann Hainzelmann in Paris, 1687.

Half length portrait of Miguel de Molinos (1628-96), a Spanish Catholic mystic and figurehead of religious movement known as Quietism, which was condemned as heretical by Pope Innocent XI in 1687. Molinos spent the last nine years of his life in prison. Chaloner Smith notes, 'This plate was probably engraved by some of Beckett's scholars.'

A scene depicting Shah Jahan I (1592 - 1666), also called Shah Jahan the Magnificent, the Emperor of Hindustan from 1628 until his deposition in 1658. As the fifth Mughal emperor, his reign marked the zenith of Mughal architectural and cultural achievements.

Full-length portrait of Tipu Sultan (1751-1799), ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore based in South India. He was a pioneer of rocket artillery. He deployed rockets against advances of British forces and their allies during the Anglo-Mysore Wars, including the Battle of Pollilur and Siege of Srirangapatna. Tipu Sultan and his father Hyder Ali used their French-trained army in their struggle with the British, he negotiated with the British in 1784 with the Treaty of Mangalore which ended the war in status quo ante bellum. Tipu remained an enemy of the British East India Company. He initiated an attack on British-allied Travancore in 1789. In the Third Anglo-Mysore War, he was forced into the Treaty of Seringapatam, losing a number of previously conquered territories, including Malabar and Mangalore. In the Fourth Anglo-Mysore War, a combined force of British East India Company troops supported by the Marathas and the Nizam of Hyderabad defeated Tipu. He was killed on 4 May 1799 while defending his stronghold of Seringapatam.
