Half-length portrait of Lord Alfred Henry Paget (1816 - 1888), for many years equerry and clerk-marshal of the royal household. He rose to the rank of general in the 7th Hussars on the retired list in 1881. He represented Lichfield in the Whig interest from 1837 to 1865.
