A group of doctors parade a dummy with a skeleton's head representing cholera: a group of people run screaming from it. A doctor is shouting through a loud speaker: "Contagious to all but doctors!" A satire on the Board of Health set up when the second cholera pandemic (1826-37, also known as the Asiatic cholera pandemic), reached England in 1831. It depicts the board (Sir William Pym, Sir William Burnett, Sir B. Martin, Sir James McGrigor) as scaremongers, profiterring from fees charged for quarantining patients.

Britannia stands with her lion beside her, holding a huge flag with a pennant inscribed 'Reform', with the profiles of William IV, Brougham, Grey, Russell, and Burdett in the folds. On the left a ship, the 'Reform', is under full sail; the 'Anti-Reform' sinks. A puzzle print with hidden profile heads.

Tomas de Zumalacarregui [1788 - 1835]. Spanish Carlist general. A professional soldier, he fought against the French in the Peninsular War (1808-14) and supported the absolutist cause during the disturbances of 1820-23. When King Ferdinand VII died (1833), Zumalacárregui supported the claim of Ferdinand's brother Don Carlos to the throne. He was undefeated until his death in the siege of Bilbao in 1835.
