[Master Bakers' Orphan School.] Instituted, April 1802. Under the Patronage of H.R.H. the Duke of Sussex, at the London Tavern, On Monday the [10th Jan.y] 18[20] A Ball in Aid of the Funds of the Master Bakers' Orphan School Red Lion Square, Holborn. Dancing to commence at 8 o'Clock. Ticket 15/- to admit a Lady & Gentleman or 2 Ladies. Single Ticket 10/6. Tea & Coffee Included.

According to the Evangelical Magazine, 1812: 'By this excellent Society the orphans of Master Bakers, residing within ten miles of the Royal Exchange, and who have subscribed one guinea for a year, are boarded, educated, clothed, and placed out in situations when they have finished their course of eduction'.
