A half-length-portrait of Italian circus performer Josephine Giradelli (c.1785-1830), who became known as ''the incombustible lady'' and ''queen of the fire Eaters'' when she performed in London. She held hot objects against her skin and swallowed molten lead, and never revealed her tricks.

A half-length portrait of tightrope walker and acrobat Jacob Hall (fl. 1662-81), who first performed at Bartholomew Fair in Smithfield. In 1668, Samuel Pepys described Hall's 'dancing of the ropes' as 'a thing worth seeing and mightily fallowed'. This portrait of a richly dressed man after Jacob Van Oost was adopted as a representation of Hall in early editions of Antoine Hamilton's 'Mémoires de la vie du comte de Grammont'.
