Rare engraved map. 470 x 595mm (18½ x 23½"), with large margins. On paper watermarked 1832.
One sheet of the important large-scale map of Essex, originally published 1777 but this example from the third edition. It is centred on Canvey Island, extending to Fobbing in the west, clockwise to Pitsey, Thundersley and the tiny village of 'South End'.
