A sentimental scene of children laying wild flowers on the Monument to Grace Darling (1815-1842), in the churchyard of St Aidan's Church, Bamburgh, designed by Anthony Salvin. Darling was 22 years old when she risked her life in an open boat to help the survivors of the wrecked SS Forfarshire on 7 September 1838. With her father, she rowed from the Farne Islands for over a mile through raging seas to reach them. She died of tuberculosis three years later, aged only 26.

An untitled Dutch tavern scene, centred around a card game, after David Teniers II (1610-90). It was engraved by Captain William Baillie (1723-1810), who retired from the army in 1761and thereafter devoted himself to printmaking and dealing. He specialised in imitating old-master drawings and prints, using a variety of printmaking techniques.
