Three satires of the Brabant Revolution (1789-90), which led to the brief overthrow of Habsburg rule. Above is Hendrik van der Noot (1731-1827), President of the National Congress of the United States of Belgium, standing on a plinth. On the left a lion pours gold down the gullet of an eagle. On the right an eagle and lion shake hands.
