A portrait of the two eldest sons of George, as young boys within an oval frame. The oldest son later became George IV; the second son, Frederick, became Duke of York and Albany in 1784 (mocked as the 'Grand Old Duke of York'), but here is 'Prince-Bishop of Osnabrück', a sinecure from his father's German dominions.
