A plain young man attempts to pull one of three girls from the lap of a handsome rival; a well-dressed man tried to walk away from a courtesan, who puts a hand on his arm and points to the door of a hotel; a powerfully built man throws a dandified youth out of his daughter's bedroom window; and a young girl is caught writing letters to plan her elopement by her parents.
