Portrait of Johannes Froben, bust to left, wearing fur-trimmed coat; in a circle on a pedestal. Johann Froben (c.1460-1527) was a famous printer and publisher in Basel. He printed the works of Erasmus of Rotterdam and some woodcuts by Holbein.
