Half-length portrait of William Blakeney, Baron Blakeney (1672-1761), turned to face front, wearing uniform and short wig and holding a baton in his right hand. Lord Blakeney was an army officer and politician, born Limerick; lieutenant-general in 1747, and lieutenant-governor of Minorca; created KB and an Irish peer in 1756. MP for Kilmallock, 1725-57.
