It lies on the North African coast at the western entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar, where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic Ocean. Engraved and published in Amsterdam by Pieter Schenk (1660 - 1718/1719). Titles in Dutch, to left, and Latin. Plate to Schenk's 'Hecatompolis' (1702), which included one hundred profile views of cities throughout the world.
