A half-length portrait in oval of Henry Booth (1652-97), wearing long black wig, armour and lace cravat. As Lord Delamere he stood trial for treason, accused of supporting Monmouth's Rebellion in 1685, but was acquitted. During the Glorious Revolution of 1688 he raised an army for William of Orange in Cheshire, and was rewarded with the title of Earl of Warrington. This mezzotint is a reversed copy of the oil by Kneller in the Government Art Collection (GAC 0/28).
