A group portrait of George III on his white charger Adonis, with George, Prince of Wales and Frederick Augustus, Duke of York, with other officers, a mock battle raging behind. James Ward engraved two plates of this scene, of which the British Museum have multiple progress proofs. This is from the first plate, originally dated June 1 1799.
