A full-length portrait of Colin Campbell (1792-1863) in travelling uniform, holding a pith helmet, standing in a tent with an Indian temple behind. Campbell fought in the Peninsular War, War of 1812, the First Opium War, the Second Anglo-Sikh War, the Crimean War and was Commander-in-Chief in India during the India Mutiny. This portrait was published six months before his promotion to field marshal.
