Matthew Bell (1793-1871) is on the left looking small and dapper, wearing top-boots, he is supported by five other men. On the right facing Bell are Thomas Wentworth Beaumont (1792-1841) and William Ord (1781–1855) taller, heavier, older, and wearing trousers and long frock-coats.
