Published in 'Curry and Rice (on Forty Plates) or The Ingredients of Social Life at 'Our Station' in India' by George Francklin Atkinson (1822-59). An officer of the Bengal Engineers, Atkinson is better known for his more serious work, 'The Campaign in India', about the Mutiny.
