The Temple of Divus Romulus, along the Via Sacra in the Roman Forum. Valerius Romulus, son of Emperor Maxentius, was consul in AD 308 and 309, and was deified when he died in 309. Although Rossini calls it the church of Saint Theodorus, it is now the basilica of Santi Cosma e Damiano.
The first state, before the plate number, issued unbound. From an early 19th century folder titled 'Roman Engravings. The Property of Major E.G.G. Rugdon[?]'.
