A classical scene showing a young woman surrounded by symbols of the bible, with the ten commandments. Her foot rests on the head of cupid who lied in a bag of gold. An allegory for piety. First published in 1610 by Willem van Swanenburg, this is a later edition published by Pieter Schenk II (1700-1750) c. 1730. It also includes the publication line of Nicolaes Visscher II (1647-1702) who published an edition at the end of the 17th century.
