A satirical scene set at the gates of Vianen, on one side of the gate are Dutch men and women going about their daily lives. On the left side are grotesque half man, half goat figures hand out share certificates, a harlequin follows a classical figure and a beggar with a wooden leg. In the far left a king pours coins into the hats of begging men.
