A keyplate to George Hayter's painting of the wedding of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert on the 10th February 1840 at the Chapel Royal in St. James's Palace. Victoria had been pleased with Hayter's painting of her coronation and so commissioned him to work on the ceremony, the work contains the portraits of 56 of those present and in the following months many sittings took place.
