According to the Evangelical Magazine, 1812: 'By this excellent Society the orphans of Master Bakers, residing within ten miles of the Royal Exchange, and who have subscribed one guinea for a year, are boarded, educated, clothed, and placed out in situations when they have finished their course of eduction'.
