Alexander Henderson (c. 1583-1646), one finger used as a bookmark. He was a Scottish theologian mainly responsible for the final form of the 'National Covenant' of 1636 (which pledged to maintain the 'true reformed religion' against the policies of Charles I) and the 'Solemn League and Covenant' of 1643 (which, after slight alteration, became law in both Scotland and England).
