Two satires on one plate, both showing the interiors of shops. In the first a ragged boy holds up a broken plate, asking the shopkeeper for 'Two pen'orth of scrapings and if you please, Mr Stilton, Mother says you must send it good, cos she's got company-a coming!!'. The second shows a girl asking for change of sixpence for her mother, who will give the shopkeeper the sixpence next week.
