A fine watercolour view of Felixstowe, between the River Orwell and River Deben on the North Sea coast of Suffolk, England. Steam and sailing vessels can be seen on the water in the background to the right, as well as figures beside beach huts by the water below. A large row of houses with verendas facing the sea, are in the centre of the image. According to the annotation below the image, these houses were destroyed in a fire, the same year that this painting was made. The high level of skill and accuracy of the painting would suggest that it was made by an architect.
