One of a set of prints representing the months of the years, engraved after a set of tapestries designed by Peter de Witte (c.1612-14) now in Munich. De Witte's preparatory drawing is in the Staatliche Grafische Sammlung, Munich. De Witte worked with Vasari in Florence before joining the court in Munich.
