Guildhall has been used as a town hall for several hundred years, and is still the ceremonial and administrative centre of the City of London. Published in Ackermann's famous work, the 'Microcosm of London', the figures were drawn by the famous caricaturist Thomas Rowlandson and the architecture by Augustus Pugin.
