Joseph Gurney (1692-1760) of Keswick. His wife, Hannah Middleton Gurney, was depicted in a matching portrait 'A Fair Quaker'. The same portraits were engraved in mezzotint by Richard Houston as 'A Quaker' and 'The Fair Quaker'.
