Chelsea Royal Hospital (as inscribed on the watercolour) seen from across the River Thames, on which can be seen a sailing boat, rowing boats and a small cruise vessel. [&] A view from Royal Hospital Road, with people crowding in the street, and the distinguishable coat and tricorn of the Chelsea Pensioners seen inside the hospital grounds.
