The Battle of Bomarsund, the Anglo-French task force against the Russian defenses at Bomarsund during the Crimean War. After the surrender of the Russian forces, the French and British demolished the fortress, and the Treaty of Paris 1856, saw the demilitarisation of the Aland Islands. From a series of 15 lithographs.
