Portrait of Marshal Kutusov, Prince of Smolensk (1745 - 1813), Russian supreme commander during the Napoleonic Wars. In profile to left, with short wavy hair, wearing a military coat with epaulettes, three stars and a sash; in an oval. The same portrait was used to decorate a wine glass made by the Imperial Glassworks of St Petersburg, in the same year.
