A view from above Whitehall Gardens, looking up the Thames to Westminster Bridge, the Houses of Parliament, St Thomas' Hospital and Lambeth Palace. Johnstone Baird (1880 - 1935). Born in Ayrshire, studied Glasgow School of Art. Naval architect with the Admiralty 1917-19. Travelled widely on the Continent. Exhibited 1910-30.
