Portrait, half length in oval, wearing gown, collar and cross suspended from neck. Ferdinando D'Adda (1649-1719) was Prefect of the Congregation of Rites and the Papal Nuncio to James II of England. In 1690 he was made a Cardinal-Priest and in 1715 he was made Cardinal Bishop of Albano. Probably after the 1687 portrait by Kneller now at Petworth House (Egremont Private Collection 485071)
