Self-portrait of the Flemish artist and poet Adriaen van de Venne (1589-1662) etched by Wenceslaus Hollar for 'True Effigies Of the most Eminent Painters, and other Famous Artists That have Flourished in Europe' published in 1694 in Antwerp. Below the portrait is a biographical note, as Pennington notes, 'in execrable French'. A black chalk drawing by Hollar for this etching is in the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam.
