Fanny Tacchinardi Persiani (1812-1867) was an Italian soprano particularly associated with bel canto composers, such as Rossini, Donizetti, Bellini, and early Verdi. Her 'golden' period in Paris and London was between 1837 and 1848. She was also part of the 'nightingale' category of singers. Harvard: As Adina in Donizetti's 'L'Elisire d'Amore'; whole length to front, standing, full face, in apron and cap, book in right hand with left hand on hip; vignette.
