An account of the Old Bailey Sessions from 23rd October 1822 over several days when the accused are put on trial and punished. 117 cases are heard where case number 1489 a Mary Morris is transported for theft. Christopher Magnay (1746-1826) was the Lord Mayor of London from 1821 - 1822; this was his last session to preside over the court proceedings at the Old Bailey. George IV was on the throne at the time. Many of the accused were transported executed fined and found not guilty! A major source for the subject of transportation.
