Portrait of Charles Amédée de Noé (1818, Paris - 1879), French caricaturist and lithographer known by his pseudonym "Cham". In 1843 he began to be published in newspapers like Le Charivari, whose staff he was on for thirty years. An original sketch by Count Alfred Guillaume Gabriel d'Orsay (1801 - 1852), Paris-born artist and gentleman of fashion. His profile sketches of his contemporaries, to the number of 125, include among them nearly all the literary, artistic, and fashionable celebrities of that time.
