Illustration of the Siege of San Sebastián (7 July - 8 September 1813), when Allied forces from the army of General Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington captured the city in northern Spain from its French garrison under Brigadier-General Louis Rey. Strategic targets, troop positions and heavy siege guns numbered in image (lacking key). The attack resulted in the ransacking and devastation of the town by the assaulting troops.
