[Ink mss receipt.]On the 25th of [Leshrim Lwel?] 1261 or Seventh of November one thousand eight hundred and forty-five I have received in full from Mess.rs John Ross & Co., English merchants of Malta, the sum of two thousand one hundred and seventy four effective Spanish dollars, amount of a letter of credit given me by Mess.rs Hanson & Co. of Constantinople on the aforesaid Mess.rs John Ross & Co. In consequence I have delivered to them the letter of credit and sealed receipts in duplicate for the said some of 2,174 Spanish dollars. Malta. November 7th 1845.
