A personal invitation to view the jewellery collection of the Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company Ltd. William Gibson established himself as a foremost jewellers of his day and established himself as Messers. Gibson and Co., Ltd. in 1891 and continued to the be leading firm in the jewellery trade in the UK and Ireland. Extending his trade further, in 1880 he went into partnership with John Langman and founded the Goldmsiths' and Silversmiths' Company. They held substantial premises covering a quarter of an acre, on the corner of Regent Street and Glasshouse Street.
