A personal invitation to a watercolour exhibition of Charles John Watson (1849-1927); an English painter and etcher known for his depictions of ports, markets and streets, churches, animals, land and rivers. He was an original member of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers, which was founded in 1881. He won medals for his work at the International Exhibition in Chicago, 1893, and Paris in 1900. A lot of his works depict his travels around Italy and France. This collection included some 66 different works from Venice, Verona, Palermo, Naples, Rome, Chioggia, Bologna, Ancona, Catania, Lombardy, Brescia, Padua, Pompei, Salerno, Bergamo, Taormina, Syracuse, and other Sicilian views.
