Seige of Sevastopol (1854-1855) was a major battle during the Crimean War. The allied troops of Britain, France and the Ottoman Empire, fought to overpower the importann city and port of Sevastopol, home of the Tsar's Black Sea Fleet, which threatened the Mediterranean. The allied troops defeated the Russian fleets.
