Inside an inn. A woman asleep on a chair sits by the stairwell. A man drunk sits next to her, with his arm resting on her knee, and a cigar in his other hand. A third man standing grabs his head and smoking a pipe, he blows the smoke into the face of the seated man. On a table there sit a candle, a jug and a tankard. To the bottom right there sleeps a dog.
