Very fine hand-coloured lithograph. 242 x 317mm. 9½ x 12½". Some soiling around the edges.
A man reclining in his chair has fallen asleep. Surrounding him are cupids poking him with their arrows of love, inducing dreams of his pleasures and pastimes as a batchlor, instead of convincing him to fall in love. His arms folded across his heart suggest that his heart is not up for grabs! Originally issued as one of a pair.
